100 Ton Gun

Our Gibraltar tour begins with a visit to the impressive 100 Ton Gun. In the late 1800s, the British naval authorities constructed four of these colossal guns to bolster their defenses. Two were stationed in Gibraltar, while the remaining pair were sent to Malta.

Europa Point

Next, our Gibraltar tour takes us to Europa Point, the southernmost tip of the Rock of Gibraltar. Here, you will be treated to stunning views across the Strait of Gibraltar into North Africa, including Morocco, as well as the picturesque Bay of Gibraltar and the Spanish towns lining the coast.

Nature Reserve & St Michael's Cave

From Europa Point, we will drive up to the Upper Rock Nature Reserve. Our first stop within the park is the magnificent St Michael's Cave, which attracts thousands of visitors annually. This natural wonder, formed by rainwater gradually dissolving the limestone rock over millions of years, features vast caverns that are easily accessible.

In 2021, St Michael's Cave unveiled "The Awakening," a new lighting installation that enhances the cave's natural beauty. This immersive light and sound display brings to life the rich history embedded in the rock formations, making your visit to St Michael's Cave an unforgettable experience.

Top of The Rock

Our Gibraltar tour continues to the top of the Rock, where you will experience two highlights: The Skywalk and the famous Gibraltar monkeys.

Skywalk Glass Viewing Platform

The Skywalk, a former military lookout, has been transformed into a state-of-the-art glass platform offering spectacular 360º panoramic views across the Mediterranean. The exhilarating freedom you feel at The Skywalk is unparalleled.

Gibraltar Monkeys (Ape's Den)

Just a short walk from The Skywalk, we will visit the Upper Apes Den, home to the Barbary Macaque monkeys. Unique to Europe, these monkeys reside in the Upper Rock Nature Reserve of Gibraltar. With over 200 apes in six groups, these monkeys have a storied presence on the Rock. According to legend, Winston Churchill ordered the replenishment of their population in 1942, believing that the British would maintain control of Gibraltar as long as the monkeys remained.

The Great Siege Tunnels

Next, our tour heads to the north side of the Rock to explore the Great Siege Tunnels. These tunnels, hand-carved during the Great Siege of 1779-1783, were crucial in defending Gibraltar from Spanish and French forces. This historical site offers deep insights into Gibraltar's turbulent past and is a must-see on our tour.

Gibraltar's Moorish Castle

Descending from the Upper Rock Nature Reserve, our tour brings us to the Moorish Castle. This medieval fortress, prominently situated on the eastern side of the Rock, showcases Gibraltar's rich and colorful history. Originally built in 1160 CE and later damaged by the Spanish between 1309 and 1333, the castle was rebuilt in the 14th century by Abu-l-Hasan. Today, visitors can explore the restored castle, marvel at its 14th-century walls, and see the cannon dents that bear witness to its storied past.

Old Town of Gibraltar

As we conclude our tour, we will drive through the charming old town of Gibraltar, allowing you to soak in the unique atmosphere and rich history that permeates this fascinating enclave.
